Read Before Applying for a My Little Dachshund Heaven Adult Transfer of Ownership

Bringing a My Little Dachshund Heaven adult into your home is a long-term commitment, and I want every family to feel informed, confident, and supported. Please take a few minutes to review the Sales Agreement before submitting an application. This outlines my responsibilities as your breeder, your responsibilities as the new owner, and the health, nutrition, and rehoming policies that help protect each adult for life.

📚 Documents to Review:

1️⃣ Transfer of Ownership Agreement

This is the full, read-only version of the Adult Transfer of Ownership

Agreement.

It explains:

  • Health guarantee

  • Nutrition and PawTree requirements

  • Spay/neuter and breeding rules

  • Rehoming and return policies

  • Repossession and liability limitations

I believe in being transparent and clear up front so there are no surprises later. If you have any questions after reading, you’re always welcome to reach out and ask

Once you have selected an adult you will receive a full PDF Fillable file for final review and signature.

Before You Submit Your Application

Please confirm the following before you proceed:

  • I have read and understand the Transfer of Ownership Agreement.

  • I understand the nutrition and holistic wellness requirements, including PawTree food and supplements. www.pawtree.com/mldh

  • I am prepared to provide a lifelong, loving home and follow all local licensing and dog laws.

  • I am comfortable reaching out to the breeder with questions, updates, and concerns over the life of my dog.

  • All of my adults leave here fully potty trained exactly as described in the Puppy Handbook.  However, once they reach the appropriate age, they are transitioned to using the doggy door so they can independently let themselves out whenever they need to potty.

  • When they move to your home:

  • If you do not have a doggy door → they will need to learn a new way to communicate when they need to go outside.

  • If you do have a doggy door → they will still need time to learn where it is, how to use it, and that it’s allowed.

  • This transition typically takes 1–2 weeks, and requires:

    • Time

    • Patience

    • Consistency

    • Positive routines

    • Close observation

    • Clear communication

🐾 Next Steps After You Submit Your Puppy Application

Thank you for taking the first step in joining the My Little Dachshund Heaven family!

Here’s what happens next:

1. Application Review

I will review your application to learn:

  • Your home environment

  • Your preferences for coat, color, or sex

  • Your schedule and readiness

  • Your experience with Dachshunds

This helps ensure we find the right match for you and your family.

2. Added to the Notification List

Once approved, you’ll be added to my Notification List, which replaces the old waitlist system.  You will receive text notifications whenever a litter is ready for scheduling.

There are two status types:

  • ACTIVE – You receive ALL scheduling texts

  • INACTIVE – You receive occasional reminders until you choose to activate

If you ever need to update your status, simply email or text me.

3. Litter Scheduling

When puppies reach the age where they can be evaluated, I will send group texts from:
📱 209-207-6153

Scheduling is done first response received → first scheduled, then continues until every puppy has a family.

4. Puppy Selection & Deposit

Once you choose your puppy, a $600 non-refundable deposit is required to hold him/her until pickup.  This deposit is applied toward your total purchase price.

5. Get Ready for Your Puppy!

Once you have selected your puppy and your deposit is received, I’ll send you:

  • Nutrition & Wellness Plan

  • Your Puppy Handbook (secure access)

  • Go-Home Checklist

  • Pickup day details

  • Portal access instructions

🧡 This begins your journey as part of the MLDH family!

Considering Breeding Rights?

In most cases, My Little Dachshund Heaven puppies are placed in loving pet homes on limited registration with a spay/neuter agreement. On rare occasions, I may grant breeding rights to approved, aligned homes who are committed to ethical, health-focused Dachshund breeding.

Note that breeding rights will cost you an additional $400.

If you are interested in breeding rights, you must:

  • First read and agree to the Puppy Sales Agreement (linked above)

  • Then review the Breeding Rights Addendum in full

  • Be willing to complete required health testing and follow ethical breeding practice

Important:
Requesting breeding rights does not guarantee they will be granted. Approval is based on your experience, commitment to ethical breeding, willingness to complete health testing, and ongoing communication.

If you want, you can also add:

  • A small “Request Breeding Rights” contact to form

  • Or a note like:  “I am interested in being considered for breeding rights" on the application or contact me directly after your application is approved.”
