Stories of Love, Loyalty, Hope, and the Unbreakable Bond We Share with Our Dogs
Some stories are simply written.

Others are lived, one heartbreaking, hopeful, unforgettable moment at a time.

My books were inspired by Chance, a little cream dachshund whose extraordinary journey reminded thousands of people never to give up hope, but I envision these growing. His story is about much more than a missing dog. It is about courage, community, faith, perseverance, and the powerful connection between people and the animals they love.

Whether you experience Chance’s journey through the emotional memoir or share his adventure with a child through the beautifully illustrated children’s book, I hope these stories leave you believing that even during the darkest moments, hope can still find its way home.

In addition, partial proceeds from these books will be donated to another family in need who has lost their dog.

648 Hours
One Little Dog. Twenty-Seven Days Missing. A Community That Refused to Give Up.
When Chance disappeared into the bitter Pennsylvania winter, there was no way to know that his journey would last twenty-seven days—648 agonizing hours.
Through snowstorms, subzero wind chills, uncertain sightings, disappearing tracks, trail cameras, traps, drones, and countless miles of searching, one thing remained constant:
We refused to give up on him.
648 Hours tells the deeply personal and emotional story of Chance’s disappearance, the people who came together to help find him, and the lessons discovered along the way.
Told through more than one voice, this memoir allows readers to experience the journey from both sides—the people desperately searching and the little dog doing everything he could to survive.
This is a story about:
-
The extraordinary bond between people and their animals
-
The emotional reality of searching for a missing pet
-
The strength found in friendship and community
-
Holding onto hope when there is no guarantee of a happy ending
-
The remarkable resilience of one very determined little dachshund
Chance’s story captured hearts while it was unfolding. Now, the complete journey can be held, shared, and remembered.
A meaningful book for dog lovers, rescue supporters, pet parents, and anyone who has ever loved an animal deeply.
Chance's Adventure

As he travels through unfamiliar places, cold weather, and uncertain moments, Chance must be brave. Back home, the people who love him are searching, hoping, and reminding one another never to give up.

Inspired by the true story behind 648 Hours, Chance’s Adventure introduces younger readers to themes of courage, kindness, perseverance, and love in a gentle and age-appropriate way.

Beautiful illustrations bring Chance’s personality and adventure to life, while hidden dragonflies throughout the book give children something special to search for on every page.
